SDG Agenda

The Manifesto of Sustainability and the SESA Approach to Sustainable Development Goals
Development Goals

With the Manifesto of Sustainability, we affirm the Group’s commitment to contributing to the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. We believe in a continuous, progressive and sustainable growth model and the Manifesto reflects the sense of responsibility we have always had to communities, human resources, and customers

The SDGs are a value and operational reference strongly related to our strategic objective of being a reference operator in Italy in the field of technological innovation and digital transformation services for the business segment

A shared path

In 2015, the United Nations approved the Global Agenda for Sustainable Development with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030

Aware of our social role, we have embarked on a journey to guide the organization and our business activities in the direction defined by the 17 SDGs, while contributing to affirming the principles set out in the Global Compact, to which we are a Participant.

Priority goals

In order to make the integration between our business goals and the UN’s SDGs more effective, we have chosen the SDGs that are most closely related to our activities. So we defined Sesa’s 7 Priority Sustainability Goals, the specific sustainable development goals to which we committed in our business strategy and in every sustainability program.

We intende strengthen its Group procedures and structures in order to contribute to an organisational climate in which women and men have equal opportunities to realise themselves and can, in equal measure, contribute to Sesa’s economic and social growth. The main objectives are to prevent any form of gender-based violence, to close the gender gap in the labour market, to achieve full equality in participation in the different business sectors, to address and mitigate  the pay gap where it exists,  to close the gap and to achieve gender balance in decision-making.
